Yifei Peng is a graduate student in AAP's Matter, Design Computation major. He is exploring the use of knit structures for architectural purposes.

Heather Kim is a DEA PhD Candidate. She heads the Hybrid Body Lab's Knit Team. This swatch is an exploration into a pile and ground knit structure.

Heather's swatches are small in scale as they are designed to eventually become an on-body interface.

Here, Heather is exploring the use of unconventional materials as pile. This use of monofilament with an elastic base, led to the publication of a paper for the ACM Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems (CHI).
