The design prompt for screen printing in the Fall of 2021 was camouflage. Students explored the meaning of the word camouflage and came up with the best way to use color and design to demonstrate their interpretation of the concept. Students were shown examples of camouflage in nature (blending in vs. confusing the eye); World War 1 dazzle ships; and contemporary efforts camouflage against digital surveillance.
